Help!! My QuickBooks does not start
Are you unable to start your QuickBooks file? Don't worry! These things happen with QuickBooks. Sometimes when you click on QuickBooks to start the program, it does not start. You can try below simple methods to resolve this issue.
Restart your system: Sometimes just restarting of system can solve the problem. So restart your system and the try to open QuickBooks file. If you are unable to open file then try next method.
Try to open QuickBooks using shortcut: You can open your QuickBooks file using shortcut command, if it does not open directly. To do that, Click Windows Start button-> All Programs-> QuickBooks. Now right click on the QuickBooks shortcut, press and hold the CTRL key and click Open. If you still can't open your QuickBooks file then go for next method.
End the QBW32.exe process: Follow below steps to close the QBW32.exe process.

- Now close the task manager and try to open your QuickBooks file.
If problem still persist then try next method.
Sign in as a different user in your system: First restart your system and sign as Administrator. Now try to open your QuickBooks file. If you can open your file then create a new admin user and continue working.
Change firewall settings: Sometimes firewall conflict with QuickBooks. If firewall is installed on your system then make sure that it is not interfering with the Internet access that is required for your QuickBooks file. So update the firewall with the latest version. If it does not solve the issue then download and install the QuickBooks File Doctor to resolve the firewall issue. Try next solution if the problem still persists.
Run reboot.bat: When you run reboot.bat, it will re-register the QuickBooks related files in Windows. To run reboot.bat, first open the folder in which your reboot.bat file is placed. Now right click your QuickBooks file-> Properties-> Find Target. Run the reboot.bat by double clicking it. Again try to open QuickBooks file, if you cannot open try next method.
QuickBooks repair tool: It might be possible that your QuickBooks file got damaged. In this case try a good third party QuickBooks repair tool to repair your corrupt QuickBooks file.
